Injuries resulting from simple falls can happen at any time. Getting in and out of bed, falling out of wheelchairs or slipping on the slick bathroom surface are all potential for serious injuries. Fall prevention alarms, like the non-contact infrared thermometers are designed to send signals to family members in adjacent rooms, nurses, or to dispatch emergency help when no one is available to assist.

A fall can be a serious matter resulting in long term physical ailments or even death. Getting immediate help can be easy even when nobody is around who witnessed the fall. It allows an elderly member to remain mobile and get the right help if there is a problem. It is an important part of everyday life that is not obtrusive to daily routine.

It is used as a buzzer that is worn around the neck or somewhere in the possession of an elderly member so when there is a problem they can press the buzzer and help will be on the way. The system has an auditory signal so someone can be alerted in case of an incident. It will be heard from the other room or by nurse assistance that may be unaware of the situation.

It serves as a communication device between live personnel, the elderly member, and additional emergency services. When the alarm is signaled a 24 hour service operator will attempt to contact the household by phone to address the situation. In the case where no response is received, additional steps will be taken to assure the situation is under control by sending an emergency team to the house.

Other security measures are offered. The connection with local police departments and health services means a break-in or other issues coming from outside the home will be addressed quickly. The alarm can be sounded and help is on the way. There is no need to rush to a phone to contact emergency services; the operator will do that for them.

It does not matter whether it is day or night. There is a twenty-four hour support team always available. It is meant to give comfort in everyday life without worrying about being and living alone.
